ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini: more and more people are turning to these AI chatbots for quick answers or using them as tools in their day-to-day work. These large language models, also known as LLMs, are built on vast artificial neural networks. These are mathematical structures– composed of layers of simplified neurons– with connections of varying strengths or weights.
They often provide answers in a human-like tone, not by modeling how we speak, but by statistically modeling what we say. But how do they work? And what do these statistical patterns have to say about human interiority?
